I think this date will forever bring a chill down my spine. I was sitting here in my computer working when my husband called and said a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center in NY. He asked me to turn on the TV and I told him I would in a minute, I was in the middle of something and didn't really want to hear about these kinds of accidents right now...then he said..."OH MY GOD! ANOTHER PLANE JUST HIT THE OTHER TOWER!" I dropped the phone and ran to turn on the television. I never expected what I saw when I turned it on. There was an orange ball of fire coming out of one tower and right before my eyes, it crumbled. Then the other one. Too many thoughts ran through my mind. My sister, my cousins, my friends, so many people I knew in NY.
A few minutes after I see another plane crashed into the Pentagon. Oh My God. What was going on?

The events that happened on september 11, 2001 changed the US forever. The terrorists that attacked our beautiful land forgot about one thing...we are damn proud to be here, and when faced with these kinds of situations, we do not turn on each other, we do not run and hide. We stand united, we stand strong and we stand proud. If you have a new found sense of pride, or like me, have just always been rproud to be called an American, or in my case being of latin decent, a *gringa...uhy, uhy, uhy* this is the banner to tae and share in this with me. :) I was always the center of all jokes because I was way too *americanized* or didn't know what the *right* *latin* way to do things was, but now, it really doesn't matter, I have always been proud, but now I cna tell a few people to just shut up and be proud themselves too!

This one I created for everyone who doesn't live in the USA, but still feels our pain. I have discovered that the net has united people and the pain is widely shared all over the world. This one is for you my canadian, aussie and latin american friends, as well as everyone else...if you feel this tragedy has affected you as well, please share with us, take this banner and give us a link back.

OK People. It is bad enough that this happened ....there is no need for some ignorant people needing to add more trouble into the equation. I DO NOT BELIEVE MUSLINS, ARABS, OR **ANYONE** Needs to be harrassed, hurt or threatened becasue they practice Islam. EDUCATE YOURSELF FIRST before passing this kind of judgement! I am proud to say that I am NOT ignorant and that I do not treat ANYONE differently after this incident. THESE ACTS were conducted by screwed up Fanatics who took whatever they felt like obssesing with out of content and using it to justify their actions...anyone else remember WACO TEXAS??? Should we go now and close down every church that gets their congragation a bit too involved???
People who committed these terrible acts are TERRISTS, not anything else. Please educate yourself before hurting innocent people. This really really has ticked me off as you can see because it is ignorant people like the ones that are doing this, that are easily influenced by other idiots like terrorists and imbecils. DO NOT give these terrorists what they want!! DO NOT LET THEM tear down America the home of the FREE!! PLEASE!!
Do you know what the Statue of Liberty is doing???? She faces east to GREET IMMIGRANTS BECAUSE ORIGINALLY EVERYONE WHO FOUNDED AMERICA WAS AN IMMIGRANT AND WAS ESCAPING PROBLEMS BECAUSE OF THEIR RELIGIOUS BELIEFS!! THE FRENCH GAVE US LADY LIBERTY SO WE NEVER FORGET!!! Read your history and stop the HATE! DO not be ignorant! Do no think this country is just for *AMERICANS* or that people who practice other religions have no business beign here, because by doing this you are throwing the very foundation of this country out the window, and in my eyes, looking like a fool!
If you are someone who has been hurt by this because you are of Arab decent, or practice Islam, please accept my apologies, NOT every American is that ignorant! I AM NOT IGNORANT! Please email me if you need someone to talk to, and please I urge you to take this banner and spread the word!

This one I have made to honor those who stand next to our military men. They are the TRUE heroes sometimes...but never get any recognition. The ARMED FORCES does not have a special *Military Spouse Appreciation Badge* to decorate them with, but without supporting sposes where would our military be?
My husband's dream has always been to join the Armed forces, and after the Sept 11, he decided to finally join, so I will be joining this wonderful group of spirit lifting, hope giving, unconditional love giving Military Wives Club, and I can only hope I fill a 10th of their shoes. Thank you for your courage ladies, for your devotion and for your unselfishness. To all Military Husbands, parents, brothers, sisters, cousins, friends, know that soon I will make cliques for you as well. :)

I grew up hearing Military and War stories from my grandfather, my mother's cousins and family friends. My brother was a 10 year Army Sargeant. Needless to say the Military has always been a part of my life, but never have I been as proud as I am now of what they do.
The US began it's retaliation against terrorists on Sunday October 7th, 2001, join us in supporting the brave men and women from the US and around the world! Let everyone know you stand behind truth, freedom, and liberty!

Remind everyone!! Donating blood is soo important, and now they need it more than ever! If you have not done so yet, please do it as soon as you can! They need blood donations every day for the thousands who were injured, and for what is yet to come. Please join me in this important clique *only* if you have donated blood after the sept 11 tragedy!!
And remember to keep going back every 6 months, or whenever you are elegible to do so again!

Heroes were lost that day.
Heroes are born every day after that.
I will never forget watching the towers crumble and feel the agony of knowing firefighters and policemen went in to save people, and joined them in a terrible and undiscriminating tomb. The courage that those who went back showed was and still is incredible, as well as inspiring. I will never forget the faces. I will never forget the actions. I know if they would have known the Towers might crumble on them and take them away from us forever, they would do it again, but might say They'd run a little faster so they could get someone out of the bulding ..and go back to help someone else.
